Copywriting for social change

See how we helped reposition Jennifer Ruthe as a leading women's health copywriter.

Jennifer Ruthe

A brand update to reflect authentic values

Jen Ruthe (Written by Jen) is a specialist healthcare copywriter based in Brussels. Having undergone a period of professional reflection and development, she decided an overhaul of her brand was due to better position herself and her work to connect with her ideal clients.

We created a flexible, modern brand identity for Jen, and gave her the tools needed to use it on various platforms.

I can’t tell you how much I love it. It’s everything I wanted — strong, bold, and confident, but also elegant and sophisticated. All while leaving extra room for personality and sparkle.

How we ran this strategic brand design project

Take a look at our simple, three-step process:

Strategic discovery

Through questionnaires, workshops, and market analysis we explored the world of social change and global health writing. We looked closely at opportunities, gaps, patterns, and Jen herself to understand what would resonate with her audience. This helped define the most appropriate brand approach for the market and how Jen’s personality could come through clearly. All of this work was brought together in a single strategy document covering her mission, values, archetype, and strapline.

Brand development

With the strategy defined, we began translating it into a living visual identity. Through creative exploration, logo development, and wider system design, we tested ideas quickly and showed concepts in real-world contexts wherever possible. This allowed Jen to see how the brand would behave across materials rather than reviewing a logo in isolation. Throughout the process we also carefully considered colour contrast to ensure the palette remained accessible for people with visual impairments.

Asset and template design

With the identity established, we focused on building a practical system Jen could use every day. We created a flexible visual toolkit that works equally well across print and digital channels, ensuring the brand remains consistent wherever it appears. Alongside this we designed a suite of bespoke Canva templates, giving Jen the freedom to produce presentations, social posts, and documents herself without losing brand consistency or needing a designer for every new asset.
